High School Choral All-State Prep Camp

This five-day summer camp offered by the University of Central Florida, is hosted by Dr. Kelly Miller and Grammy Award winning conductor and educator Dr. Jeffery Redding. Students are invited to participate in the five-day camp, designed to prepare them for the Florida Music Educators’ Association (FMEA) All-State auditions and performances. The experience culminates with a public performance on Thursday, July 25th, including a meeting for parents on “How Do I Support My Student Who Wants To Be A Music Major”. Additional courses offered in: Sight-Singing, Theory, Mock All-State Audition Sight-Reading and Written Testing Experience, Voice Lesson (extra cost to student), Piano, Conducting, History, one session for both Music Therapy and Music Business.

Open to incoming ninth graders through current 12th graders.

Registration Fees

$200 or $230 with lunch provided.

Tuition includes the All-State repertoire and varied sessions focused on sight-reading, music theory, audition preparation, aural training, leadership, communication, and more. They will also receive a camp t-shirt, reusable water bottle, daily snacks, and lunch on the final day.

Voice lessons:
8:00 am – 9:00 am
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Housing

The UCF Choral Camp does not provide overnight accommodations.
