Music Education Internship Application Process

1.

Read, Read, Read

Read the internship overview, internship admission criteria and music education internship application instructions carefully prior to the application deadline.

Internship Application Deadline

  • Fall Semester: February 1st
  • Spring Semester: September 1st

2.

Meet with the Program Coordinator

Meet with Kirk Gay before the application deadline to discuss placement location (district and school).


3.

Complete and Submit

Complete application and submit it by the application deadline. Be sure to fill the security/background forms for the correct county.

Complete Background Check

Within two weeks of submitting the internship application, complete a background check (get fingerprinted) for the appropriate county. View fingerprinting information


5.

Order Official Name Badge

Within two weeks of submitting the Internship Application, order the official Music Education name badge from theĀ Sign Man. Do not use your first name on you name badge.

Note: Applicants must pay for and complete a background check (including fingerprinting) and order a nametag before the internship application will be processed. Students who delay may not be able to get a placement for the desired semester.
